The high interior humidity is one of the biggest problems in retrofitted residential buildings. It is caused by a lack of ventilation after changing of old windows and insulation of building envelope. As a part of the national conference “Ventilation of residential buildings”, approaches of European countries to ventilation of residential buildings were introduced at the Architecture and Building Foundation (ABF) in Prague. The representatives of ministries, professional associations and experts from universities participated on the conference. The design of ventilation systems solutions and examples of best practice for new and existing buildings were presented. At the end of the conference, all participants were invited to the training centre for nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) to see unique models of building constructions and buildings systems . The training centre was set up by Train-to-NZEB project. The Fit-to-NZEB training courses for deep energy retrofits of buildings will be held in the centre in March and April.
