The QualitEE project aims to increase investment in energy efficiency services in the European building sector and improve trust in service providers. This will be achieved by developing quality assessment criteria and implementing national quality assurance schemes. To drive quality improvement and standardisation the quality criteria need to be institutionalised, and hence the QualitEE project aims to ‘kick start’ national quality assurance schemes for energy efficiency services in at least 8 European countries. Existing business models for quality assurance will be researched and presented to national stakeholders to facilitate development of the most appropriate scheme for their country via an extensive consultation process and testing in live pilot projects. Best practices from this process will be published to assist other countries in establishing their own schemes. The QualitEE project consortium comprises 12 partner organizations that cover 18 European countries.
